How to Play
Looking at the play table, you will find eight standard symbols that include the low-value A, K, Q and J royals and four riders and their horses. The rider dressed in red riding a white Cremello is the highest paying giving you 12.5x your bet for five on a full payline. Peter Scudamore himself is the wild, and substitutes all symbols except the scatter and the Bet Slip Symbol.
The game’s layout can be simplified into the following:
- Reels: 5
- Paylines: 20
- Max Coin: 1.00
- Min Coin: 0.01
- Min Bet: 0.01
- Max Bet: 1.00
- Wilds: Yes
- Scatters: Yes
- Free Spins: Yes
- Bonus Game: Yes
In addition to the wild feature, Scudamore’s Super Stakes has three bonus features: the Random Wild, The Bet Slip and the Peter’s Classic Cup feature.
The Random Wild Feature
The Random Wild Feature is randomly activated on any spin. When triggered, it gives you 2 to 5 horseshoe wild symbols positioned randomly on the reels.
The Bet Slip Feature
During the base game, players are offered the opportunity to buy a bet slip. You will be asked to choose a symbol to be collected within a set number of spins. You are presented with four bets to choose from:
- Collect 92 Q or J royals in 80 spins. This pays 1242x
- Collect 46 blue jockeys or A and K royals in 40 spins. You will be paid 75x
- Collect 23 red, purple or green jockeys in 20 spins. This pays 16.4x
- Collect 11 wilds or scatters in 10 spins. This pays you 5.85x
The feature keeps track of the number of times your symbol has appeared on the reels and if you manage to land your selected symbol in the nominated number of spins, you will be awarded with a cash prize based on certain multiplier times your wager value.
The Peter’s Classic Cup Feature
This feature is activated when you land on the trophy scatter on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th reels. The game changes to a protracted reel set that features five reels, four rows and 32 paylines. Before you can continue with the feature, you will be required to pick one of four horses to compete for you in the race. Each represents a different level of volatility and risk.
- Tin Foil Hat-Blue J symbols +blue jersey (50x potential)
- Gonzo’s Quest- Green Q symbol +Green jersey (100x potential)
- Berry Max-Purple K symbol + purple jersey (500x potential)
- Divine Fortune- Red A symbols+ red jersey (5000x potential)
Once you have made your selection, the race starts and the free spins played out. All the four horses are positioned on the track and for each winning combo you land; your horse moves one spot on the racetrack. The first horse to advance four spots wins the trophy, ending the feature. While it is tempting to go for the 5000x win, you must keep in mind that it is the most volatile option with a low probability of winning the race.
Graphics and Sound
The reels are placed above a horse racing filed which is always visible. However, when you start playing Peter’s Classic cup, the reels become a bit smaller and you get to see the horses and the jockeys in full view as they race and jump across the race field. The reels are encased in a reddish frame and have an emerald green colored backdrop that represents the horse racing traditions. Overall, the graphics and animations are quite realistic and you will even hear Peter’s voice in the introduction explaining the different features.
In addition to the visual appeal, the background music has an attractive symphony that gives off positive and energetic energy as you spin the reels and watch the horse race.
Scudamore’s Super Stake can be played from 10p to $100 per spin. The game has an RTP of 96.11%, which is medium volatility. If you bet on Divine Fortune and it wins, you can get the maximum reward of 5,000x the bet.
Most of the potential in Scudamore’s Super Stakes is allocated to the Classic Cup Feature. The feature offers players with a number of choices to choose from with a potential of getting the 5000x win. But the Bit Slip feature is worth mentioning as well as it has 1242x potential.
